Annyeong! It's Yul from KVIBE IDOLS. Have you ever watched a K-drama and thought, I want to stand right there? Good news. Many famous scenes were filmed in Seoul, and you can visit them for free.
First stop, Namsan and N Seoul Tower. The love locks on the fence have appeared in countless dramas, including My Love from the Star. Come at sunset, and you'll understand why.
Second, Bukchon Hanok Village. The traditional houses and narrow hills have been used in many period and romance dramas. Please be quiet here, because real families live in these houses.
Third, Deoksugung Palace stone wall road. Couples have walked this road in dramas for decades. There's even an old legend that couples who walk it together will break up. Do you dare?
Fourth, Itaewon. The bar street from Itaewon Class is here, and the area is full of restaurants from around the world.
Fifth, Ihwa Mural Village and Naksan Park, near the old city wall. Great for photos, and they appear in many youth dramas.
Sixth, the Han River parks. Picnics, ramyeon from convenience stores, and bike rides. If a drama couple is having a heart-to-heart talk at night, there's a good chance it's by the Han River.
Yul's tip! Check out my separate audio guides for N Seoul Tower, Bukchon, Deoksugung and Naksan. I tell the real history behind each place. Then you'll know more than the drama characters!
