Annyeong, yeoreobun! It's Yul from KVIBE IDOLS. Did you know Seoul has a national park inside the city? Bukhansan! Koreans love hiking, and this is their favorite mountain.

Bukhansan means the mountain north of the Han River. It has huge granite peaks that shine white in the sun. On weekends, you'll see thousands of hikers in colorful outdoor clothes. Korean hikers are very serious about fashion!

The highest peak is Baegundae, about eight hundred and thirty six meters high. The last part is steep rock, with metal ropes to hold. But the view is amazing. All of Seoul under your feet.

On the way you'll pass old temples, like Doseonsa, and parts of Bukhansanseong, another old mountain fortress.

The classic course starts near Bukhansan Ui Station and takes about four or five hours up and down. Wear real hiking shoes, and bring water and snacks.

And after the hike? Korean tradition! Hikers go down and eat pajeon, green onion pancake, with makgeolli rice wine.

Yul's tip! Start early in the morning, especially on weekends. And in autumn, the colors are incredible. Have a safe hike!
