Annyeong, yeoreobun! It's Yul from KVIBE IDOLS. Want to see the sea, but you only have one afternoon in Seoul? Go to Oido! You can get there by subway.

Oido is in Siheung, on the west coast. It used to be a real island, but land was filled in, so now it's connected to the mainland. People still call it an island.

The symbol of Oido is the red lighthouse, a tall observation tower that looks like a lighthouse. Walk to the top for a wide view of the Yellow Sea.

Now watch the water. The west coast has huge tides. When the tide goes out, the sea disappears, and a wide mud flat appears. Seagulls walk around looking for snacks.

The best time to visit is sunset. The sky turns orange and pink over the sea wall. Couples and families walk along the long seaside path.

And then, dinner! Oido is famous for kalguksu, knife cut noodles with clams, and grilled clams on a charcoal grill. Grill them until they open, and eat them right away.

Yul's tip! Take the Suin Bundang Line to Oido Station, then a short bus or taxi ride to the coast. And check the tide times. Masitge deuseyo, and enjoy the sunset!
