Annyeong, yeoreobun! It's Yul from KVIBE IDOLS. Today we're walking on an old railway. Gyeongui Line Forest Park!

The Gyeongui Line was an old train line. When the trains moved underground, the city turned the empty tracks into a long, thin park, about six kilometers through Mapo district.

The most popular part is near Hongdae, around Yeonnam dong. Locals call it Yeontral Park, like New York's Central Park. Funny, right?

On sunny days, young people sit on the grass, play guitar, and eat snacks from the convenience store. The street next to the park is full of small cafes, bakeries, bookshops and restaurants from all over the world.

You can still see pieces of the old railway in the park, like rails in the ground. At the Gongdeok end, there's a book street with little bookshop houses.

In spring, the cherry blossoms along the path are beautiful. At night, the park is lit up and feels safe and cozy.

Yul's tip! Start at Hongik University Station, Exit Three. The park starts right there. Walk, grab coffee, and finish with dinner in Yeonnam dong. Have a nice walk!
