🍜 Korean dishes explained

Han River Ramyeon한강라면 · hangang ramyeon

What is it?

Convenience stores in Han River parks (and many city stores) have self-serve ramyeon cookers: buy a noodle pack and a disposable foil pot, put them under the machine, press start, and it boils the water and noodles for you. Eating it outdoors by the river is a K-drama staple.

How to eat it

  1. Buy noodles plus the paper/foil ramyeon bowl sold next to the machine.
  2. Add the soup powder and noodles, place under the nozzle, press the button (about 3–4 min).
  3. Grab disposable chopsticks and take your trash back.
Typical price
₩3,000–6,000 incl. bowl
