Annyeong, yeoreobun! It's Yul from KVIBE IDOLS. Today we're in Yongsan, in front of a glass tower that might be the most famous office building in K-pop. This is HYBE! And its story begins with a company that almost didn't survive.

Rewind to February 2005. A songwriter named Bang Si-hyuk, who used to make hits with JYP's Park Jin-young, starts his own tiny company: Big Hit Entertainment. By 2007, it has just four employees and is close to going bankrupt. Ouch!

But Bang doesn't give up. In 2013, he debuts seven boys called BTS. And you know the rest of that story. Daebak!

Plot twist! In March 2021, Big Hit becomes HYBE and moves into the Yongsan Trade Center, a brand-new tower with nineteen floors above ground. Today it's home to labels like BIGHIT MUSIC, Pledis, Source Music, BELIFT LAB, KOZ and ADOR, with artists such as BTS, SEVENTEEN, TXT, ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT and CORTIS. And in 2026? BTS came back with the album ARIRANG, which hit number one on the Billboard 200, and launched a world tour across thirty-four cities.

Yul's tip! HYBE is a working office, so you can't go inside. Take your photo from the sidewalk, never block the driveway, and be polite to the security staff.
